i made this animation in After Effects for a micro learning about soft skills. it took me a little less than a day to storyboard, animate, and narrate. the client wanted a retro feel so i softened the edges and added a subtle color split to give the impression of the animation being displayed on a projector. to help further sell the effect i also added a gradient loop in the background to mimic the way film flickers when it's thickness varies. the client was very happy with the outcome, and this short received great feedback from learners.
i made this animation in Vyond for a micro learning targeted for new call center employees that were falling behind the desired speed to proficiency. i had a short turnaround on this piece so i utilized Vyond to make quick work of the animations. some props needed for the piece didn't exist, so i made them in Photoshop. the bear's arm, note they are holding, over the shoulder model of the man answering the door, and his hand from the first person shot were all made from scratch. i wanted to use a whimsical font to match the tone of the animation, without running into licensing issues, so created the font used for this piece too.
(you can also download the SCORM package for the entire micro learning on this page)
i made this animation in Biteable for a client new hire course on soft skills. the client had a specific vision in mind for an upbeat claymation style piece. i had no experience with claymation, so i utilized Biteable to source the footage seen here. i also weaved the story of the explorer character through the rest of the course to create a memorable narrative for the learners to connect to. overall i'm happy with how this turned out, but if i had the time i would love to use actual claymation in a piece.
